Our steels are produced both via the proven blast furnace route and via the CO₂-reduced electric arc furnace route operated by our subsidiary Saarstahl Ascoval. This enables us to offer our customers a broad range of high-quality materials to meet a wide variety of performance and sustainability requirements.

Our steels are used in a wide range of defense applications:

They are used, among other things, in the production of artillery ammunition and, along the value chain, for products used in the powertrain technology of military vehicles as well as for components for firearms. They are also further processed into welding wires and metal powders for wear protection, reinforcement and armouring applications.
